1. Admissions

The Admissions committee is responsible for collecting money from the spectators at the front gate

Shift Days:

Thursday through Sunday.

Time Commitment:

The main entrance to the facility is open from 7:00am to 3:00pm. Positions are available in the morning or afternoon. Shifts are generally 4 to 6 hours long.

Duties:

Collecting money for ticket sales, ensure the appropriate entrance into the facility of accredited personnel.

Skills Required:

No specific skills required

Training:

No special training required. Volunteers are required to attend a volunteer orientation session before the beginning of the tournament.

2. Marshal

Volunteers on the marshals committee are responsible for crowd and noise control on the golf course. Marshals may also be asked to be spotters for golf balls.

Shift Days:

Thursday through Sunday.

Time Commitment:

Shifts may vary from four to six hours in duration.

Duties:

Crowd control, controlling noise.

Skills Required:

Aggressive/take charge personality. A good eye and understanding of golf is beneficial.

Training:

No special training required. Volunteers are required to attend a volunteer orientation session before the beginning of the tournament.

3. Media Hosting

Volunteers joining the media committee assist with the media personnel on-site with course direction and media room hosting.

Shift Days:

Wednesday through Sunday.

Time Commitment:

Shifts may vary from four to six hours in duration.

Duties:

Assisting with media in accessing course and hosting media room.

Skills Required:

Friendly, outgoing personality.

Training:

No special training required. Volunteers are required to attend a volunteer orientation session before the beginning of the tournament.

4. Player Services

The role of hospitality volunteers is to register Canadian Tour players on Monday and Tuesday of the Tournament week.

Shift Days:

Monday and Tuesday.

Time Commitment:

Shifts may vary from four to six hours in duration.

Duties:

Manage player registration and answer questions from the players as required.

Skills Required:

Friendly, outgoing personality.

Training:

No special training required. Volunteers are required to attend a volunteer orientation session before the beginning of the tournament.

5. Scoring

The scoring committee is the largest committee of the tournament. There are numerous positions available in the scoring committee: Walking Scorer,Standard Bearer, Leaderboards, Starter, Runner, Scoring Central

Shift Days:

Thursday thru Sunday.

Time Commitment:

Shifts may vary from four to eight hours in duration.

Duties:

Walking Scorers - Walk eighteen holes with a group and enter scores. Standard Bearers - Walk eighteen holes carrying a small leaderboard. Leaderboards - Updating leaderboards around the golf course.

Skills Required:

None.

Training:

Special training is required at the volunteer orientation session.

6. Transportation

Volunteers on the transportation committee drive players to the course, host hotel and airport. This committee may also be required to transport spectators.

Shift Days:

Monday through Sunday

Time Commitment:

Shifts may vary from four to eight hours in duration.

Duties:

Driving professionals from hotel and airport to the host course. Vehicles are provided.

Skills Required:

Valid Drivers License.

Training:

No special training required. Volunteers are required to attend a volunteer orientation session before the beginning of the tournament.

7. Volunteer Hosting

Members of the volunteer committee assist with the registration of volunteers each day and may also be asked to "troubleshoot" by filling required positions.

Shift Days:

Thursday thru Sunday.

Time Commitment:

Shifts may vary from four to eight hours in duration.

Duties:

Register volunteers on-site, and provide manpower support to all other committees as required.

Skills Required:

Flexible, don't mind doing a variety of jobs.

Training:

No special training required. Volunteers are required to attend a volunteer orientation session before the beginning of the tournament.

8. On-course Services

Volunteers on the On-course services committee are responsible for refilling water and fruit for Tour Players

Shift Days:

Wednesday through Sunday

Time Commitment:

4 to 6 hours per day, minumum of two days

Duties:

Refilling water, fruit and ensuring on-course volunteers are receiving food and water

Skills Required:

none

Training:

Volunteers are expected to attend and orientation session on Tuesday, June 19th
