Sirocco Golf Club to host 2009 ATB Financial Classic
 
 
Calgary, AB - Linx Marketing and the Canadian Tour are proud to announce the 2009 ATB Financial Classic will be held June 22-28 at the Sirocco Golf Club.  A total of 156 professionals from around the world will compete for a prize purse of $150,000.
 
The Sirocco Golf Club opened in 2005 and has quickly become one of Calgary's premier golf facilities.  Playing at 7,185 yards meandering through Pine Creek Valley, Sirocco will surely be one of the strongest tests of golf that the Canadian Tour Professionals will face in 2009 .
   
Canadian Tour alumni have won 92 times on the PGA TOUR and over $400 million in career earnings.  It's graduates are among the top-ranked players in the world including Mike Weir, Paul Casey, Steve Stricker, Stuart Appleby, Tim Clark and Stephen Ames.  In the past five years alone, the Canadian Tour has graduated an average of 14 players to the Nationwide Tour and PGA TOUR, more than any single golf circuit in the world.
 
   

 
Dustin Risdon wins 2008 ATB Financial Classic

Calgary, AB - Dustin Risdon won one for the home folks by capturing the ATB Financial Classic with a birdie on the first playoff hole over George Bradford.  The Calgary native and Bradford finished regulation at 20 under par 264 but it was Risdon’s 7-iron to two feet at the first playoff hole that landed him his second Canadian Tour title.

Steve Conway, Josh Habig and Ricky Romano all closed with 65s to share third spot at 265 with Kris Wasylowich who finished with a 68.  Clint Rice (64), defending champion Mike Grob (66), Mike Sica (69) and Jordan Krantz (68) shared eighth spot at 18 under par 266. Full Story   Final Results
